OFFICE OF THE SANGGUNIANG BARANGAY

SEARCH FOR MISS GAY KALIKASAN 2013 (FEB. 11, 2013, 7:00p.m.)

·         Open to all gays within District II with pleasing personality, confidence, wit and talent.

·         Must be, 17-23 years old and have a height of at least 5’1 ft.

·         Registration of entries will start on January 28, 2013 until January 31, 2013 5:00p.m.

·         To register: Must fill up the registration form from the barangay and submit necessary requirements listed below.

SCREENING PROCES

·         Each participant must bring the following during the screening day:

1. Copy of birth certificate
2. Personal data form
4. One 3R whole body picture with any colored background
5. One 3R half-bust/close-up picture with any colored background
6. Parental consent if applicant is 17 years old and an endorsement from the

Barangay Captain.

Candidates can only withdraw from the pageant before the Final Presentation. If a candidate withdraws after this, no substitution will take place.

CODE OF CONDUCT

·         Candidate affirms that:
• she is and will continue to be a person of good moral character;
• she has not committed and will not commit any act inconsistent with the highest standards of public morals and conventions or that will reflect unfavorably on the pageant, its representatives, sponsors and/or licensees;
• she has not appeared in nude or provocative photographs for any film or publication prior to, during the preliminary or pageant finals, or during her reign should she become the Ms. Gay Pictorial 2013.

·         Any candidate found publicly posting slanderous remarks on public forums will be immediately disqualified.

·         Good sportsmanship is expected at all times. Disruptive behavior before, during, or after the pageant may result in disqualification, removal from the premises, and legal charges.

PRE-PAGEANT- Pictorial

·         Miss Photogenic – The criteria include basis of photogenic beauty, captured personality or mood and the ability of contestant to share her true self in the image. Candidates will be judged by the official photographer of the pageant and selected NGOs.

PAGEANT NIGHT

·         Creative Attire – In this phase of competition, candidates will show their creativeness in relation with the theme. They will be judged on the following criteria:

o Visual Impact                    40%
o Relevance to the Theme            50%
o Poise and Grace              10%

·         Casual Wear Competition – Candidates must show proper poise and bearing while in their casual wear. In this phase of competition, the contestant has to present herself as a dynamic, beautiful and natural young woman. Casual Dress must be in glimmering attire. She will be rated based on:

o Fitting                      50%
o Poise and Bearing            50%

·         Evening Gown Competition – The elegant wear or the evening gown is designed for the contestant to make an on-stage statement of her compelling charm, presence and personality. Further, her beauty, sense of style, composure and allure must be projected
across the footlights. The evening wear should complement both the contestant’s individual style and personality, expressed in the “total look.” Candidates will be rated based on

o Design and Fitting                                     40%
o Poise, Grace and Stage Presence       40%
o Totality of Elements                                  20%

·         INTELLIGENCE PHASE PORTION- The chosen Top 5 will undergo Question and Answer portion. During this part, candidates will be asked anything in line with environmental issues and concerns. Here, the previous scores will be disregarded and the Top 5 candidates will go through a final on-stage interview. They will be rated based on the final performance on the following criteria:

o   Intelligence               50%

o   Poise and Confidence       35%

o    Audience Impact   15%

·         The Top 5 candidates will be declared as Miss Gay Kalikasan 2013.

·         The decision of the Board of Judges is final and irrevocable.
